We will be able to save up to $20M/ year by implementing US First sale.
The strategy is that we can pay duty on a lower total material cost than on our trade PO's by applying duty to the amount paid by our factories to their supplier.
To recover the above savings, we would need to implement a technology package for the information needed to claim the savings as well as utilize the services of an outside consultant to certify each factory before taking the savings on entry declarations to the US.
Total expected cost for consulting is approx. $25K/ factory (total of 10 factories for a total of $250K) and a technology tool to transmit and archive the needed documentation (Nexus has a viable solution for approx $100K).
